We've had a great experience with Precision Plumbing. Most recently, they helped us locate and repair three separate leaks under our concrete slab. They started with a free inspection and did a very thorough job diagnosing the issue, clearly explaining what was going on and what our options were. Their approach was professional, direct, and honest, no upselling, just practical solutions and clear communication. The work was handled quickly and efficiently. I felt confident in their expertise the entire time. We had also used them previously for a midnight plumbing emergency, and they were incredibly responsive and reliable, one of the only companies willing to come out at that time which is why we trusted them again for this most recent project. Martin & his team are super knowledgeable, dependable, a great value for what they provide and easy to work with. I highly recommend Precision Plumbing!!!Posted on Google![]()

Our main water line sprung a leak and it was such a inconvenience when you don't have proper running water. After finding Precision on Google, I decided to give him a call. He was very responsive and was the first out of 3 plumbers to arrive next day in the AM. He was very easy to talk to and didn't try to up sell like the other ones. His quote was fair and I didn't feel like I was getting ripped off. I would call them back if I need any plumbing services in a heart beat!Posted on Google![]()

Our main sewer line had been giving us issues for over a year. Slow drains, weird smells in the backyard, and finally a backup in the guest bathroom that pushed us over the edge. Got three quotes for a sewer replacement for our home in Laguna and these guys came in not the cheapest but definitely the most thorough. The tech ran a camera down the line first and walked me through exactly what we were looking at on his tablet. Turned out we had old clay pipe with two big root intrusions and a partial collapse near the cleanout. They scheduled the work for the following week and got it done in two days. Crew was respectful, kept the yard damage to a minimum, and even reseeded the section of grass they had to dig up. Haven't had a single issue since and I sleep better knowing it's handled.Posted on Google![]()

I’m usually very nervous to call any sort of service company. I feel like they always make me feel stupid and rip me off. My toilet was clogged and I was already embarrassed to contact anyone. When I contacted Martin, he was immediately kind and explained what he would be doing. He did the job perfectly and even left my bathroom cleaner than it was before!Posted on Google![]()

Really happy with the service from Precision Plumbing. I called them out for a plumbing issue at my home and they showed up quickly, which I really appreciated. The plumber was easy to talk to, explained what was going on in and got everything fixed without any hassle, no confusion, just straight to the point and got the job done right. Overall, solid experience. I’d definitely use them again if I run into any plumbing problems.Posted on Google![]()

Was bracing for a hard sell when our 14 year old water heater started leaking. Two other plumbers basically tried to push tankless on me before they even looked at the unit. Called Precision in Mission Viejo and he came out the next morning, walked through both options, laid out the real cost difference and the gas line work tankless would need. No pressure either way. We went with a 50 gallon tank because the math made sense for our family. He pulled the permit, did the install the next day, hauled the old one out, and strapped the new one properly for earthquake code. Straightforward company.Posted on Google![]()

Slow drains in pretty much every sink and tub at the same time, which I now know is not a good sign. Called Precision on a Monday morning and they came to the house by 1pm. He camera scoped the line first, showed me a wall of grease and gunk about thirty feet out, and explained why snaking it would only buy me a few months. They hydrojeted the whole line for a fair price. Drains have been running smoothly. Saved as #1 Plumber lol.Posted on Google![]()

Both units in my duplex were backing up and I knew it was time to get the main line looked at. A friend in Laguna had used Martin before and said to call him. He came out, scoped the line first so we could actually see what was going on in there, and then hydrojetted the whole thing. years of buildup just gone.Posted on Google![]()

These things always seem to happen on the weekend - the outlet from my water heater started leaking. I did a Google search to find a plumber that was open and found Precision Plumbing in Mission Viejo. Within an hour of my call, Martin was at my door. He diagnosed the problem and gave me some options. I chose getting a new water heater and fixing associated fittings. Martin was back out Monday morning to do the work. They were prompt, professional and friendly. They knew I had a tight schedule and they finished earlier than expected. They double checked to make sure everything was working, including replacing the pressure regulator to the house, which probably saved me from an even bigger future repair bill. I highly recommend Precision, for your local plumbing needs. Great service and fair pricing.Posted on Google![]()

Martin helped us in the past with a clogged drain and this time with a slab leak. Again, I can't say enough good things about his team. From the start, it was clear they really know their stuff and are incredibly transparent and honest. They were thorough with the inspection and took the time to explain everything in detail. The crew that came to do the repipe was just as impressive. They were hardworking, knowledgeable, and cleaned up after themselves. It was very obvious they knew exactly what they were doing and were great at it!Posted on Google![]()

A faint gas smell, a burner that will not light, or a hissing sound near an appliance should never be ignored. Older homes often have black iron piping with rusted fittings or joints that have loosened over the years. Ground movement and past remodeling can also stress lines hidden in walls and crawl spaces. If the gas company shuts off service for safety, your furnace, stove, and water heater may all stop working at once.
Precision Plumbing provides gas line services that put safety first on every visit. Our technicians locate the damaged section, replace failed pipe and fittings, and pressure test the system before gas is restored. We use approved materials and follow local code for every connection. Once the work passes testing, we relight pilots and confirm each appliance runs as it should.

Small gas leaks are not always easy to smell, especially in garages, attics, or outdoor lines. Many homeowners first notice a higher gas bill, a dying patch of plants, or a faint odor that comes and goes. Guessing where the leak is wastes time and leaves your family at risk. A proper test is the only way to know the system is safe.
Our team uses electronic gas detectors to trace leaks along piping, fittings, and appliance connections. We then pressure test the system to confirm whether gas is escaping anywhere along the line. Suspect joints are checked with a solution that bubbles at the exact point of release. If you smell strong gas, leave the home and call SoCalGas or 911 first, then reach our 24/7 plumber service once the area is safe.

Martin Reagan founded the business and remains directly involved in service calls. You deal with the person behind the company rather than a generic call center.
Precision Plumbing holds California license #778399. The business was established in 2000, while the current license number can be checked through the state board.
The business has served Orange County since 2000. That experience covers gas, water, sewer, drainage, and fixture work across nearby communities.
Some jobs need a full replacement. Others only need a repair, and the difference depends on the condition of the existing line. You get the reason behind the recommendation.

Tell us what you smell, hear, or see, and where. A few questions help establish urgency. If you smell gas, leave the area and contact the gas utility or emergency services from a safe location rather than attempting to operate the meter.
Guesswork costs you money, so the line gets pressure tested rather than eyeballed. The testing helps narrow the fault to a section before anything gets opened. You hear what was found and what fixing it involves.
The failed piece comes out, new pipe goes in, and the system gets tested again after the repair. Inspections get handled where the city requires them. We explain what was completed before the work is wrapped up.
Many homeowners want to switch from an electric range to gas for better heat control. Others are remodeling the kitchen and moving the range to a new spot. Either way, the gas line must reach the right location and supply enough fuel for the burners and oven. An undersized line can cause weak flames and uneven cooking.
We run new gas piping to your kitchen and size it for the range and any other appliances on the same line. A shutoff valve is installed within easy reach behind the stove so it can be turned off quickly. We connect the range with an approved flexible connector and check every joint for leaks. The same approach works for gas dryers and other indoor appliances.
Outdoor living is a big part of life in Orange County. Many homeowners are tired of swapping propane tanks or running out of fuel in the middle of a cookout. A permanent natural gas line gives you a steady supply for outdoor kitchens, heaters, and fire features. The line has to be buried at the right depth and sized for every appliance it will serve.
Our technicians bring more than 26 years of experience to planning outdoor gas lines that are safe and built to last. We run lines to built in grills and patio heaters, and we can add a gas line for fire pit features with a shutoff at each point. Pool heaters use far more gas than most appliances, so adding a gas line for pool heater service often requires larger pipe or a meter upgrade. We plan the full layout before digging, so each appliance gets the pressure it needs.
In an emergency, you need to shut off gas quickly. Many older homes have valves that are rusted, stiff, or impossible to turn by hand. Appliance valves can also start leaking as they age. Southern California’s earthquake risk makes working valves even more important. If a valve fails and you smell gas, leave the house and call the gas utility first, then our emergency plumbing team can make the repair.
We replace worn valves on your house piping and at each appliance with new, easy to turn models. Homeowners who want extra protection can also add a seismic valve that closes automatically during strong shaking. Some cities have their own rules for these valves, and we follow local requirements on every install. If you are replacing a gas appliance at the same time, we can also handle your gas water heater installation.

SoCalGas owns and maintains the line up to and including the gas meter. Everything after the meter, including buried yard lines and indoor piping, belongs to the property owner. That means repairs on the house side need a qualified plumbing contractor.
Most cities require a permit for new gas lines, extensions, and major repairs. The work usually needs a pressure test and an inspection before the line can be used. Unpermitted gas work can create safety risks and problems during a home sale.
CSST is flexible stainless steel tubing with a yellow or black protective jacket. It installs faster than rigid pipe and has fewer joints that could leak. Code requires it to be properly bonded to the home’s electrical grounding system to reduce damage from lightning strikes.
Indoor black iron gas pipe can last 50 years or more when kept dry. Buried or outdoor lines often wear out sooner because moisture and soil cause corrosion. Rust on exposed pipe or fittings is a sign the line should be inspected.
A healthy gas flame burns mostly blue. A yellow or orange flame usually means the burner is dirty, clogged, or not getting the right mix of air and gas. Since poor burning can raise carbon monoxide levels, the burner should be cleaned or checked by a professional.
