We've had a great experience with Precision Plumbing. Most recently, they helped us locate and repair three separate leaks under our concrete slab. They started with a free inspection and did a very thorough job diagnosing the issue, clearly explaining what was going on and what our options were. Their approach was professional, direct, and honest, no upselling, just practical solutions and clear communication. The work was handled quickly and efficiently. I felt confident in their expertise the entire time. We had also used them previously for a midnight plumbing emergency, and they were incredibly responsive and reliable, one of the only companies willing to come out at that time which is why we trusted them again for this most recent project. Martin & his team are super knowledgeable, dependable, a great value for what they provide and easy to work with. I highly recommend Precision Plumbing!!!Posted on Google![]()

Our main water line sprung a leak and it was such a inconvenience when you don't have proper running water. After finding Precision on Google, I decided to give him a call. He was very responsive and was the first out of 3 plumbers to arrive next day in the AM. He was very easy to talk to and didn't try to up sell like the other ones. His quote was fair and I didn't feel like I was getting ripped off. I would call them back if I need any plumbing services in a heart beat!Posted on Google![]()

Our main sewer line had been giving us issues for over a year. Slow drains, weird smells in the backyard, and finally a backup in the guest bathroom that pushed us over the edge. Got three quotes for a sewer replacement for our home in Laguna and these guys came in not the cheapest but definitely the most thorough. The tech ran a camera down the line first and walked me through exactly what we were looking at on his tablet. Turned out we had old clay pipe with two big root intrusions and a partial collapse near the cleanout. They scheduled the work for the following week and got it done in two days. Crew was respectful, kept the yard damage to a minimum, and even reseeded the section of grass they had to dig up. Haven't had a single issue since and I sleep better knowing it's handled.Posted on Google![]()

I’m usually very nervous to call any sort of service company. I feel like they always make me feel stupid and rip me off. My toilet was clogged and I was already embarrassed to contact anyone. When I contacted Martin, he was immediately kind and explained what he would be doing. He did the job perfectly and even left my bathroom cleaner than it was before!Posted on Google![]()

Really happy with the service from Precision Plumbing. I called them out for a plumbing issue at my home and they showed up quickly, which I really appreciated. The plumber was easy to talk to, explained what was going on in and got everything fixed without any hassle, no confusion, just straight to the point and got the job done right. Overall, solid experience. I’d definitely use them again if I run into any plumbing problems.Posted on Google![]()

Was bracing for a hard sell when our 14 year old water heater started leaking. Two other plumbers basically tried to push tankless on me before they even looked at the unit. Called Precision in Mission Viejo and he came out the next morning, walked through both options, laid out the real cost difference and the gas line work tankless would need. No pressure either way. We went with a 50 gallon tank because the math made sense for our family. He pulled the permit, did the install the next day, hauled the old one out, and strapped the new one properly for earthquake code. Straightforward company.Posted on Google![]()

Slow drains in pretty much every sink and tub at the same time, which I now know is not a good sign. Called Precision on a Monday morning and they came to the house by 1pm. He camera scoped the line first, showed me a wall of grease and gunk about thirty feet out, and explained why snaking it would only buy me a few months. They hydrojeted the whole line for a fair price. Drains have been running smoothly. Saved as #1 Plumber lol.Posted on Google![]()

Both units in my duplex were backing up and I knew it was time to get the main line looked at. A friend in Laguna had used Martin before and said to call him. He came out, scoped the line first so we could actually see what was going on in there, and then hydrojetted the whole thing. years of buildup just gone.Posted on Google![]()

These things always seem to happen on the weekend - the outlet from my water heater started leaking. I did a Google search to find a plumber that was open and found Precision Plumbing in Mission Viejo. Within an hour of my call, Martin was at my door. He diagnosed the problem and gave me some options. I chose getting a new water heater and fixing associated fittings. Martin was back out Monday morning to do the work. They were prompt, professional and friendly. They knew I had a tight schedule and they finished earlier than expected. They double checked to make sure everything was working, including replacing the pressure regulator to the house, which probably saved me from an even bigger future repair bill. I highly recommend Precision, for your local plumbing needs. Great service and fair pricing.Posted on Google![]()

Martin helped us in the past with a clogged drain and this time with a slab leak. Again, I can't say enough good things about his team. From the start, it was clear they really know their stuff and are incredibly transparent and honest. They were thorough with the inspection and took the time to explain everything in detail. The crew that came to do the repipe was just as impressive. They were hardworking, knowledgeable, and cleaned up after themselves. It was very obvious they knew exactly what they were doing and were great at it!Posted on Google![]()

Hard water carries high levels of calcium and magnesium, and many Orange County homes deal with it every day. These minerals leave white crust on faucets and showerheads and spots on glass and dishes. Inside your plumbing, scale builds up in pipes, water heaters, and appliances, cutting their efficiency and lifespan. Many homeowners also notice dry skin, dull hair, and soap that never lathers well.
Precision Plumbing designs treatment that fits your water, your home, and your budget. Our technicians test your water first, so we only recommend equipment that solves your actual problem. We handle the full install, including bypass valves, drain connections, and loops that keep treated water off your irrigation lines. After setup, we explain maintenance in simple terms so the system keeps working for years.

Hard water damage happens slowly, which makes it easy to overlook. Scale can shorten the life of a water heater, clog tankless heat exchangers, and wear out dishwasher and washing machine parts. Fixtures lose their finish, and cleaning shower glass becomes a weekly chore. Over time, these costs add up to far more than the price of treatment.
Our water softener installation starts with sizing the unit to your water hardness and household size. We place the softener near your main line, connect the drain, and set the regeneration cycle for efficient salt use. For homeowners who prefer a salt free option, we can install a conditioner that reduces scale without adding sodium. Softer water also means far less sediment to clear during your next water heater flush service.

Martin Reagan founded Precision Plumbing and runs the work himself. The person who quotes your job is the person who does it.
The business holds California license #778399. You can look that number up on the state board site before booking anything.
Working the same neighborhoods for years teaches you what fails in houses of a certain age. That shortens diagnosis considerably.
Water gets tested, and pressure gets measured before anyone recommends equipment. Guesswork tends to produce the wrong-sized unit.

Describe what you notice, whether that is taste, scale, spotting, or a unit that stopped working. Testing tells us what the water actually carries. That result decides the equipment, not a sales sheet.
Incoming pressure, flow rate, main line position, and available space all shape what fits. Some houses suit a whole-house unit. Others get better value from treating one fixture.
Installation includes shut-offs and clearance for future servicing. We pressure-check connections before we finish, and you'll hear how to look after the unit.
Many families buy bottled water because they do not trust the taste of their tap. Dissolved minerals, salts, and treatment chemicals can give water a flat or bitter flavor. Bottled water is expensive, wasteful, and a hassle to carry home every week. A dependable source of clean drinking water right at the sink is often the better long term choice.
We install under sink systems that push water through several filter stages, including a fine membrane that removes most dissolved solids. A dedicated faucet is mounted on your sink for clean drinking and cooking water. We can also connect the system to your refrigerator and ice maker for filtered water throughout the kitchen. Our team handles the drain connection and checks every fitting for leaks before we go.
Many local water providers disinfect with chloramine, a blend of chlorine and ammonia that lasts longer in the pipes. It keeps water safe to drink, but many people dislike its smell and taste in showers and sinks. Sediment from older pipes and city mains can also cloud water and clog aerators. A filter at one tap does nothing for the water you bathe and wash in. If the sediment is coming from corroded pipes inside the house, our pipe repair service deals with the source.
A point of entry carbon system treats all the water as it enters your home. We use catalytic carbon media, which is designed to reduce chloramine more effectively than standard carbon. A sediment prefilter protects the system and your fixtures from grit and debris. This setup pairs well with a softener for homes that want both scale control and better tasting water.
Not every home needs a large system to get better water. Some homeowners simply want cleaner tasting water for drinking and cooking without extra tanks or wasted water. Pitcher filters work slowly, need constant refilling, and take up space in the fridge. A compact filter under the kitchen sink offers a simple middle ground.
We install carbon block filters that connect to your cold water line and feed a dedicated faucet or your existing one. These systems reduce chlorine taste, odor, and sediment while keeping good flow at the tap. Cartridges are easy to change, and we show you how before we leave. If you are also updating the sink, we can pair the install with a kitchen faucet replacement in the same visit. If you want a new kitchen tap fitted at the same visit, our faucet installation service covers it.

Hardness varies by city and water source, but much of Orange County tests in the hard to very hard range. Your water provider publishes an annual water quality report that lists local hardness levels. A home water test gives the most accurate reading for your property.
Yes, some can. Reverse osmosis and certain carbon filters are certified to reduce PFAS compounds such as PFOA and PFOS. Look for products certified under NSF/ANSI Standard 53 or 58 for PFAS reduction.
Under sink cartridges usually need changing every 6 to 12 months. Reverse osmosis membranes often last 2 to 3 years, while the media in a whole house water filter can last several years depending on water use. Following the manufacturer’s schedule keeps the system working at full strength.
For most people, yes. Salt based softeners add a small amount of sodium to the water, which can matter for people on low sodium diets. In that case, a drinking water filter at the kitchen sink or potassium based softener salt is a simple solution.
A reverse osmosis system sends some water down the drain to flush away the contaminants it removes. Newer models are much more efficient than older ones and waste far less water for each gallon they produce. Adding a permeate pump can improve efficiency even further.
